Cristina is a PhD student at ICTA-UAB, where her research focuses on exploring ways to promote sustainable and just energy transitions in rural areas of Spain, adopting a transformative research approach, collaborating with policy-makers, practitioners and social movements to co-create knowledge and drive transformative change. She was previously a research technician at the LIVEN Lab where she was responsible for participatory processes, mainly within the LIVEN and JUSTWIND4ALL projects. She has completed internships at the Royal Botanic Garden of Madrid, the University of Bergen in Norway, and Madrid’s Institute for Rural Development, Agricultural and Food Research (IMIDRA). She has a bachelor’s degree in environmental science and a master’s degree in interdisciplinary studies on sustainability. She loves hiking, birding, and plants.
