Stefano Fiaschi is an Environmental Engineer from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (DICEA) of the University of Florence (Italy). He holds a master’s degree in Engineering for the Protection of the Environment and the Territory with a specialization in Technologies and Installations for the Environment from the University of Florence. Currently, he is a PhD candidate in the Sostenipra Research group, under an international joint supervision between the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (ICTA-UAB) and the University of Florence. His research focuses on identifying the most sustainable options for the management of municipal solid waste through the application of Life Cycle Assessment. Special interest is posed in waste collection and transport systems and in the management of the material fractions that are still mainly destined for landfill.
